International Projects

International Projects and collaborations

  • Cancer Incidence in Five Continents (CI5): Series of incidence rates, published every 5 years by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) in collaboration with the International Association of Cancer Registries (IACR). The latest volume (Vol. X) contains information about cancers diagnosed from 2003 to 2007.

  • EUROCARE (EUROpean CAncer REgistry-based study on survival and care of cancer patients), EUROCARE-5: Epidemiological study with data from European cancer registries regarding survival and care of cancer patients. EUROCARE-5 intends to complement the database (existing since 1990) with new cancers diagnosed until the year 2007 and a follow-up for new and existing cases.

  • CONCORD: A global program for surveillance of cancer survival containing data regarding considerable cancer survival differences between countries and regions.

  • RARECARE: Project about the surveillance of rare cancers in Europe providing incidence, prevalence and mortality rates.
