Data collection and processing

To successfully fulfill its tasks the registry has to collect and process high quality data and make optimal use of them. Therefore the cancer registry relies on a well elaborated cooperation with several other institutions.

Reports about cancer

The cancer registry frequently publishes reports and analyses about specific types of cancer, changes in frequency of cancers and about the registry’s own research activities.

Data from the cancer registry

The registry's data serves as an important basis for cancer prevention, early diagnosis, identification of high risk populations and the determination of survival rates and secondary tumors. The registry provides anonymized data for studies, dissertations and master theses.
